I have enjoyed the new Clone Wars cartoon series and was waiting for it to make an appearance on DVD or better still Blu Ray.

Was badgered into going shopping with the other half this afternoon and managed to escape for half an hour to do a little looking round for myself - our local Virgin turned into Zavvi and is now called "Head" - picked up Season 7 of Smallville on Blu Ray for a bargain £14.99

Anyway, no sign of any Clone Wars action so I wander over to HMV for a little nosey and there is a DVD for £9.99. "Brilliant!" I thought............ until I noticed that it was £9.99 for the first FOUR episodes!!! What??!!! Wasn't that first season some twenty- odd episodes long? There is no way I am forking out fifty quid for the first season on standard definition - there's no way I'd fork out that much for it on Blu-Ray. Greed I tell you - the world's gone mad!

22 episodes in season one I think.

I have seen the artwork for the first three volumes, but that only takes us up to the first twelve episodes. I am hoping there will be a box set for the whole of season one, as I too refuse to pay out so much on individual volumes.

Amazon are listing as £29.99 for the whole season. That's 22 episodes for just under £30, I reckon that's pretty good. And £34 for the Blu Ray release.
